REVIEWS FOR BEGINNING SINGING

A Rare Teacher

"I teach teachers as a profession. Not only in my degreed field of music, but in all subjects as the principles of learning (found in cognitive science) are the same for all learning. Henny's teaching is top notch, and this kind of clarity and depth delivered in a way that students can really use is rare."

Great read for aspiring singers and karaoke enthusiasts alike

"I used to sing in high school, and love to sing at home or at the bar. Very helpful insights, review, and explanations of the singing process with many exercises and practical applications."

Great info!

"At age 67, I decided to take a few refresher singing lessons. My vocal teacher who has worked with many, many well-known professionals, recommended this text. It offers information in simple-to-follow explanations and has online links."

Succinct Yet Detailed

"This is a very helpful summary of both the mechanics and mental aspects of singing. John Henny defines the terms singers use, stating his application while acknowledging that others may label things differently. Nicely balanced with clear safety parameters to develop a healthy singing voice."

Useful, scientifically backed information for singers.

"John is incredible- If you haven't already checked out his youtube channel or podcast- definitely do it! This book is simple, easy to understand, and if you apply the principles he discusses, theoretically you could teach yourself to be a pretty great singer all by yourself. I am a voice teacher and I found I was able to use some of his terminology to simplify my explanations for my students. He's a great teacher and a clear, relatable writer. Thanks John!"

Great start for singing as a self study.

"Learned a lot of concepts I didn't know and the lessons provided on his website will be valuable for weeks to come as I practice singing."
